Buffalo launches in the UK three new external hard drives – the glossy, piano-black MiniStation HD-PCU2, black glossy DriveStation HD-LBU2, and the DriveStation USB 3.0 HD-LBU3. The new portable MiniStation is available in 320GB and 500GB capacities. It uses USB 2.0 interface and works with PC and Mac. The DriveStation HD-LBU2 also uses USB 2.0 and comes in 1TB and 2TB densities.
The top-of-the-line model HD-LBU3 utilizes the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface that is backward compatible with USB 2.0. Available in 1TB, 2TB and 3TB capacities, the HD-LBU3 comes with Buffalo Backup Utility for automatic backup and is Time Machine-ready. If your PC doesn’t have a USB 3.0 port, you need to add a USB 3.0 interface card, such as Buffalo’s IFC-PCIE2U3, in order to utilize the SuperSpeed transfer rate.
