Philips is launching its PB9001 9-inch portable Blu-ray Disc Player. With a 9-inch 800×480 LCD display, the PB9001 supports playback of Blu-ray Sics as well as DVD, DVD+/-R/RW, CD, VCD. It also supports DivX Plus HD, MKV, MPEG, VC-1, WMV, H.264 formats.
The Philips PB9001 features BD-Live, support for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA for 7.1-channel surround sound, and DVD video upscaling. It has USB port for media playback from USB storage devices. The built-in battery offers up to 3 hours of playback. The player offers Ethernet LAN port, composite and HDMI output and two 3.5mm stereo headphone jacks.
