Lenovo announced the new ThinkPad X220 notebook and the ThinkPad X220 convertible tablet PC for mobile business professionals who need full performance and usability found in larger laptops, but in a super ultraportable design.
The X220 laptop and tablet PC are powered by choice of standard voltage Sandy Bridge Core i3, i5, and i7 processors, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory and integrated Intel HD graphics. They have 12.5-inch LCD display with 300-nit brightness and scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass. Both models will have USB 3.0 connector.
The ThinkPad X220 offers up to 15 hours of battery life with a standard 9-cell battery. Battery life jumps up to 24 hours by adding the new ThinkPad external battery. The X220 laptop and X220 tablet PC will be available in April for $899 and $1,199, respectively.
