Olympus launches the new XZ-1 high-end compact digital camera with “X-treme” features. The compact digicam features a X-factor design offering full manual control in slim, pocket-sized body; X-ceptional image quality with TruePic V image processor; X-cellent low-light performance with a ultra wide angle iZUIKO f1.8-2.5 6.0-24mm lens with 4x optical zoom, as well as X-treme creativity with six art filters.
The 10 Megapixel XZ-1 comes with a 3-inch OLED display ideal for Live View and reviewing captured images and supports imager shift and digital dual image stabilization. It can record 1280x720p HD video and offers HDMI output. The XZ-1 has an accessory port so photographers can attach optional accessories like the SEMA-1 external microphone adapter, the VF-2 electronic viewfinder or the newly introduced MAL-1 Macro Light. Olympus will also release the PT-050 underwater case that has been customized for the Olympus XZ-1 and is waterproof to a depth of 40 meters (approximately 130 feet).
