Nikon announced its new CoolPix S6100 compact digital camera to replace the S5100 released last year. The new camera sports a 16 Megapixel CCD image sensor and a 7x optical zoom NIKKOR lens with 28mm wide angle. The S6100 featurs up to 3200 ISO sensitivity, lens shift vibration reduction and is equipped with EXPEED C2 Image Processing Engine.
The Nikon S6100 comes with a 3-inch touchscreen for intuitive touch operation. It includes Smart Portrait System, pet portrait mode, filter effect, Scene Auto Selector and animated character effects. It records 720p HD video and has a built-in HDMI mini connector for users to watch captured video on HDTV.
The S6100 will be available in March in black, silver, red, violet for $199.95.
