LG is launching its first portable Blu-ray player, the BP650 with Ethernet LAN for access to online content. The player does Blu-ray playback and DVD upscaling, and supports Dolby True HD. Though without WiFi, the BP650 has Ethernet LAN port and offers NetCast support for access to online services and content.
The LG BP650, other hand playing Blu-ray, has USB ports allowing playback of media files from USB storage devices. JPEG, MP3, DivX, MKV files are supported. There is HDMI output. The BP650 will be released later this year.
