Sony introduces a new flash memory-based Full HD camcorder, the Handycam HDR-CX700Vw ith 96GB storage which is enough for storing up to 40 hours of HD LP video footage. The CX700 features 6.65 Megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS Sensor for capturing 1920×1080 Full HD 60p/24p video and 12 Megapixel still images. It includes CinemaTone technology to deepen the color and recreate film-like color tones.
The Handycam HDR-CX700V also gets a Wide Angle G lens with 10x optical zoom and 14x extended zoom and a 0.27-inch color EVF (electronic view finder). The camcorder features Optical SteadyShot image stabilization with Active Mode, 5.1-channel surround microphone, built-in Flash, built-in GPS receiver and NAVTEQ maps for geotagging, as well as Intelligent Auto mode and Golf shot. It ha a 3-inch touchscreen Xtra Fine LCD display with TruBlack technology.
