Sony introduces three new Handycam Full HD camcorders with built-in LED-based projectors. The HDR-PJ50V has 220GB hard drive, while the HDR-PJ30V has 32GB flash memory and HDR-PJ10 has 16GB flash memory. All of them have a 3-inch flip-out Clear Photo LCD PLUS panel and a compact, LED projector is built into this LCD panel, which is able to project up to 60-inch images.
These projector camcorders is equipped with a 4.2 Megapixel back-illuminted Exmor R CMOS sensor for 1920×1080 Full HD 60p Recording and 7 Megapixel (3Mpix for PJ10) still image capturing. They feature BIONZ image processor, Optical SteadyShot image stabilization with Active Mode, geotagging with built-in GPS receiver, Intelligent Auto mode, Golf shot, face detection, and 5.1-channel surround microphone with wind noise reduction for clear voice recording.
Both HDR-PJ50V and HDR-PJ30V has 12x optical zoon Sony G lens while the HDR-PJ10 offers 30x optical zoom. Their built-in projector uses LED as light source and features up to 10 lumens brightness and 640×360 resolution. The PJ50V will be released in April for $999, while the HDR-PJ30V and HDR-PJ10 will be available in March for about $950 and $700, respectively.
