V2_ Institute for the Unstable Media, an interdisciplinary center for art and media technology in Rotterdam, is going to bring the i3DG Palm Top Theater to the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2011. The i3DG is an add-on for iPod touch, iPhone and even iPad that converts 2D images into layered 3D images using the ” very old technique of placing a halfsilvered mirror at a 45-degree angle in front of an image”.
