Remember Yision’s Apple 520 that brings phone function to iPod touch? Here in the US, Sprint has just announced the ZTE PEEL case that brings Sprint’s 3G to iPod touch, which has been leaked three months before. Basically, the ZTE PEEL is a mobile WiFi hotspot attached to iPod touch.
The PEEL connects to Sprint’s 3G network and share the connection via WiFi to up to two devices, allowing iPod touch users to stay connected. Unlike the Apple Peel from Yision, ZTE’s offering doesn’t make phone calls and text messages. The PEEL works with iPod touch 2G and 3G.
Sprint offers the ZTE PEEL at $79.99 and a $29.99 monthly service plan that allows up to 1GB of 3G data on the Sprint network.
