Creative introduces its latest Pure Wireless Entertainment Device, the ZEN Touch 2 running Android 2.1 OS. The device packs a 3.2-inch 480×320 touchscreen and a 2 Megapixel fixed focus camera. It includes Bluetooth 2.1+EDR for pairing wireless headphones, and WiFi 802.11b/g/n wireless LAN connectivity for access to internet.
The ZEN Touch 2, as a portable media player, supports MP3, AAC, WMA9, FLAC, OGG, ADPCM, MIDI, WAV, Audible Format audio; H.264, MPEG4, WMV9, AVI video; and JPG, BMP, PNG images. It offers composite TV output. The Android player has 8GB or 16GB capacities and supports microSD/SDHC memory cards. As for battery life, the Touch 2 provides 25 hours of audio playback and 5 hours of video playback.
Creative will also release later enhanced version ZEN Touch 2 wth GPS, Digital Compass and FM radio. The player has been listed on Creative’s UK site with 8GB at GBP149.99 and 16GB model at GBP159.99.
