Canon announced its first installtion LCOS projector, the REALiS WUX4000 ideal for use in a wide range of professional venues including conference centers, corporate boardrooms, educational institutions, houses of worship, medical facilities, government offices..etc. The projector utilizes Canon’s latest fourth-generation proprietary AISYS-enhanced LCOS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) optical engine to deliver “crisp, seamless images with intricate detail, high brightness, high contrast and accurate color”.
The REALiS WUX4000 features 1920×1200 Full HD resolution with 16:10 widescreen aspect ratio, 4000 lumens high brightness level, 1000:1 contrast ratio, support for full 10-bit color, motorized lens shift and up to 4,000 hours of lamp life. The WUX4000 offers HDMI 1.3, DVI-D, D-sub, two audio inputs, and one audio output as well as network-ready RJ45 Ethernet port and an RS-232 serial port. It can be used with three optional interchangeable lenses, including the RS-IL01ST with 1.5x optical zoomm, the RS-IL02LZ with 1.7x zoom and the RS-IL02LZ with 0.8x Ultra Wide Angle single focal length.
Canon is selling the REALiS WUX4000 installtion LCOS projector at $8999. The company also release the REALiS WUX4000 D model that includes DICOM Simulation Mode.
