NEC announced the NC3240S, its first 4K DLP digital cinema projector, joining Digital Cinema Projector Series models NC1200C, NC2000C and NC3200S. The 4K projector is equipped with TI’s new 1.38-inch 4K DLP Cinema Chip and is fully Digital Cinema Initiative (DCI) Compliant.
NEC NC3240S features 31,000 ANSI lumens and is able to product images on screens sized up to 105-feet wide. It offers one-touch operation, auto lamp brightness control, intuitive keypad and 3D capabilities with special 3D control connector. It has memory functions that store eight projector configurations such as lens shift position, zoom and focus, and lamp power settings.
The projector also gets custom DMD shielding, which protects the projector from dust and oil, thereby providing optimal picture quality.NEC will release the 7KW version in early 2010 alongwih the 4Kw variant for smaller screens.
