Handheld Group announced the new Nautiz X3, the company’s smallest and lightest rugged handheld PAD. The X3 meets passes full MIL-STD-810G testing and gets IP65 rating. It measures 150x67x25 mm and weighs just 260 grams. It can withstand drops from 1.8 meters and it operates in extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to 60°C.
The Nautiz X3 is powered by a 806 MHz X-Scale processor, 256MB RAM and 512MB flash memory. It features a 2.8-inch 320×240 QVGA touchscreen, a 3 Megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash, a standard 1D laser scanner and optional 2D imager. The rugged PDA has a numeric keypad with 20 backlit alphanumeric keys plus function keys on side. It supports Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi 802.11b/g, GPS and GSM/EDGE, UMTS/HSPA 3G networks.
The Handheld Nautiz X3 runs Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional. It packs also G-sensor, e-compass and an altimeter.
