Acer udpates its Veriton business nettop line with two new models, the N282G-UD525W and N281G-UA425W. These compact nettops are energy saving, and are able to handle office productivity tasks. They are also space-saving and can be mounted on a stand or attached to the back of various displays with a VESA mounting system.
The Veriton N282G-UD525W packs a dual core Intel Atom D525 1.8GHz processor, 2GB DDR3 RAM, NVIDIA ION 2 graphics for full HD 1080p playback. The N281G-UA425W, on the other hand, is boosted by Atom D425 1.8GHz single-core processor, 2GB RAM and integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics. Both of them have a 320GB hard drive and a memory card reader. They also support Gigabit Ethernet LAN and WiFI 802.11b/g/n.
The N282G-UD525W and N281G-UA425W offers six USB 2.0 ports, VGA output, HDMI port as well as a mini PCI Express 1.1 x1 slot for expansion. They come pre-loaded with the Veriton ControlCenter, a utility suite for simplifying routine IT tasks. The former starts at $449 and the latter at $399.
