NEC announced in Europe the new MultiSync PA231W professional desktop LCD display based on IPS LCD technology, which is designed to meet the demands of the CAD/CAM and DTP sector, precision engineering and for detailed image reproduction in the field of medical radiology.
The 23-inch MultiSync PA231W features 1920×1080 resolution, 270cd/m2 brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 178/178-degree viewing angle and 8ms GTG response time. It is able to display 16.77 million colors. The IPS monitor offers two DVI-D, one DisplayPort and one D-sub inputs and also comes with an integrated, programmable USB hub (DisplaySync Pro) that allows flexible connections to multiple PC platforms.
The NEC MultiSync PA231W will be released in black in September for Euro 749.
Update: NEC will release the MultiSync PA231W in the US in November for $679.
