Other than the VPL-VW90ES SXRD 3D projector, Sony also introduces the VPL-VWPRO1 2D home theater projector that also uses the SXRD technology. The VPL-VWPRO1 features Full HD resolution, 1300 ANSI lumens and the Advanced Iris 3 technology that delivers a high dynamic contrast ratio of 85,000:1.
The Sony VPL-VWPRO1 is Control4 Certified, includes an AMX Device Discovery Beacon. It will be released in early October for $3400.
