Leica M9 Titanium Special Edition Designed by Walter de’Silva

Leica announced the M9 Titanium, an exclusive special edition designed in collaboration with Walter de’Silva chieft designer of the Volkswagen Group, and his Audi Design Team. The Titanium M9 is constructed exclusively with premium quality materials such as solid titanium for camera body, hard coating on expose surfaces, and sapphire-crystal glass protective cover for camera monitor.

Like the original M9, the Titanium edition has 18 Megapixel full-frame image sensor, ISO 8-02500, up to 1/4000 shutter speed. Some new features have also been added, including LED illumination of the bright-line frames in the viewfinder, removing the necessity for a standard illuminating window; metal finger loop, covered with fine Nappa leather, ensures a secure, steady and ergonomic grip when shooting or carrying the camera with one hand, and an entirely new carrying concept that is reduced to just one single mounting point on the camera body. It come with a specially designed, stylish shoulder holster.

The Leica M9 Titanium edition will be sold a set together with a LEICA SUMMILUX-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH. lens. The price is GBP19,800 per set and there are only 500 sets worldwide.
