Sharp announced at CEDIA 2010 its first 3D-Ready High Definition DLP home theater projector, the XV-Z17000. The new projector features 1920×1080 Full HD resolution, 30,000:1 contrast ratio and 1600 lumens brightness.

Based on DLP technology, the Sharp XV-Z17000 is 3D projection compatible via “IR Link” and “DLP Link” and comes with two pairs of 3D active shutter glasses. The 3D projector includes vertical and horizontal Keystone Correction, which corrects spherical and trapezoidal distortion of an image on a flat screen, and Image Shift Function vertically shifts images projected in a 16 x 9 format to maintain superior images without distortion in limited spaces. There is also an RS-232 port.

Sharp XV-Z17000 has two HDMI 1.4 inputs, D-sub, component, composite and S-video inputs. It will be released in Q1 2011.
