Canon launches the new PowerShot G12, the latest addition to the company’s G-series replacing the G11. The new G12 is equipped with DIGIC 4 image processor and the HS (High Sensitivity) SYSTEM helping to produce outstanding quality in the toughest low-light conditions. It also gets 720p HD video recording capabilities.
Canon’s G12 features a 10 Megapixel High Sensitivity CCD sensor, a 5x optical zoom lens with Optical Image Stabilization and 28mm wide-angle, and a vari-angle 2.8-inch LCD display. It includes built-in High Dynamic Range (HDR) scene mode and Canon’s Hybrid IS technology that compensates for angular and shift camera shake.
Canon PowerShot G12 supports SD/SDHC, SDXC as well as MMC memory cards. It offers mini HDMI output. Coming in early October, the G12 will be priced at $499.99.
