Samsung and TeleHealth have partnered to release in the US two new UL-approved healthcare LCD TVs designed specifically for hospitals. The new Samsung LCD 458 Series healthcare TVs come with “hospital-specific features to provide education and entertainment solutions that optimize operational efficiency, promote patient satisfaction and improve sustainability.”
Available in 26-inch and 32-inch, Samsung’s healthcare TVs feature Full HD resolution with Wide Color Enhancer technology for sharp, detailed images and smooth motion; and support for Dolby Digital Plus and bottom. They both integrate TeleHealth Services’ proprietary TIGR patient education system, which makes an entire library of educational videos available on-demand in hospital rooms. Both models offer USB autosensing side inputs and an interchangeable pillow speaker interface.
The Samsung LCD 458 Series is UL-listed for hospital use and meets the more stringent requirements for use in hospital environments.
