Panasonic launches the latest addition to the FZ-series, the LUMIX DMC-FZ40 digital camera with a 25mm ultra-wide angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT 24x optical zoom lens and manual operations. The FZ40 is a follow-up to the FZ35 with 18x zoom.
The new FZ40 packs a 14.1 Megapixel image sensor and a -inch LCD display. It features Sonic Speed Auto Focus (AF), the Intelligent Auto (iA) mode, POWER Optical Image Stabilizer (O.I.S.). There is also My Color mode that gives users creative freedom with a suite of options, including new Pin Hole, Film Grain, High Dynamic and High Dynamic B&W. The 24x long zoom camera also records HD movie in AVCHD Lite format.
The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ40 will be available in black in late-August with a price tag of $399.95.
