Plextor ships the PX-B120U, a USB-powered external Blu-ray drive that was first introduced at Computex 2010. The PX-B120U features the 4-speed mechanism providing smooth Blu-ray playback and extensive support for DVD+ /- R, DVD +/-RW, DVD +/- R DL, DVD-RAM and CD-R formats. It reads Blu-ray media, including BD-ROM, BD-R/RE SL, BD-R/RE DL at up to 4X, DVD media at 8x and CD at 24x.
The Plextor PX-B120U is USB-powered so there’s no need for an additional AC adapter or power able. It has a top-load design and comes with an attractive unique ripple pattern and in a smooth glossy texture finish. Plextor’s Blu-ray drive is bundled with Cyberlink Power DVD Blu-ray and DVD playback software. It is available in Europe for Euro 109.
