Canon announced two new PIXMA wireless photo all-in-one printers, the PIXMA MG5220 and PIXMA MP495. Both printer features the new Full HD Movie Print function that is compatible HD Canon EOS and PowerShot Digital cameras, allowing users to print individual frames of movies.
The PIXMA MG5220 features five individual ink tanks with the ChromaLife100 + ink system, a maximum color resolution of 9600 x 2400 dpi, ability to create 4×6-inch borderless photo in about 20 seconds. It includes Advanced Media Handling capabilities with Auto Duplex printing and a two-way paper feed can help reduce paper usage and the amount of time to complete a project. There is also a 2.4-inch LCD screen with a redesigned UI.
Canon’s PIXMA MP495 is a more affordable wireless AIO printer. It sports the ChromaLife100_ ink system, maximum color resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi, ability to create 4×6-inch borderless photo in about 41 seconds and the Auto Scan mode, which automatically recognizes the type of original, then scans and saves the suitable settings, further adding to its overall ease-of-use.
Canon’s MG5220 and MP495 are both 802.11n Wi-Fi certified and supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS). They ae compatible with the free Canon Easy-PhotoPrint (EPP) for Andriod application and the Canon Easy-PhotoPrint for iPhone (iEPP) application for iPod touch, iPhone and iPad, which allow users to easily print images captured with the phone’s camera.
