Following the 12.1-inch Wind12 U230, MSI launches the Wind12 U230 Light that comes with a smaller 11.6-inch LCD screen with LED-backlit and 1366×768 resolution. The new Light version is ultraportable, smaller than a sheet of A paper and lightweight at just 3.3 pounds including battery.
Boosted by AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 1.6GHz processor, the U230 Light packs 2GB of RAM, ATI Radeon HD3200 graphics and 250GB hard drive. It features a 4-in-1 card reader, a 1.3 Megapixel webcam, HDMI out, built-in speaker and support for WiFi 802.11b/g/n wireless connectivity.
According to MSI, the U230 Light is optimized for energy efficiency and delivers on-the-go computing with low power consumption and energy saving features. It runs 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium. The netbook is available for $399.99.
