Synology announced the RackStation RS810+ 4-bay 1U rackmounted NAS server and the DiskStation DS411+ 4-bay NAS server, both for SMB users. Both of them are powered by Intel’s dual core Atom D510 1.67GHz processor and 1GB of RAM.

The Synology RS810+ and DS411+ deliver an average of 112MB/s reading speed while RS810+ writes at 107MB/s and DS411+ writes at 106MB/s. The RS810+ offers a scalable option of 16 TB storage once connected with RX410 expansion unit to accommodate for future storage need and is expandable to up to 3 GB RAM. It is also certified to be VMware ready. For businesses that require uninterrupted data sharing and protection, Synology also offers the RS810RP+ that comes with a redundant power supply, which optimizes data availability and safety.

In addition to storage server, the RackStation RS810+ and DiskStation DS411+ can also be used as FTP server, iTunes server, DLNA/UPnP Media Server, printer server, mail station and bittorrent download client. With Surveillance Station 4, they become network video surveillance solutions.
