SmartDevice’s new SmartQ R7 is a e-book reader running the Ubuntu Linux OS, just like the company’s other SmartQ tablets. It is boosted by a 600MHz ARM11 processor, 256MB RAM and 512MB usable memory.
The R7 features a 7-inch 800×600 resistive touchscreen LCD and supports WiFi 802.11b/g connectivity. Other than readng mainstream e-book formats such as PDF, ePub, TXT HTML, CHM, RTF..etc, the SmartQ R7 also includes media playback function supporting common media formats including MKV, H.264, MOV, WMV, MP4, RM/RMVB..etc. 3G mobile connectivity is available as an option.
