Other than the Cius Android-based business tablet, Cisco launches the home energy management (HEM) tablet designed to provide updated energy and budgeting information to help you optimize home energy use.
The Home Energy Controller is powered by 1.1GHz Intel Atom processor, 512MB of RAM and up to 64GB flash memory. It features a 7-inch 800×4800 capacitive touchscreen and supports Ethernet LAN and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity. The HEC runs Ubuntu Linux 2.6.29 for Mobile Internet Device.
Several models will be released to meet different needs. Select models will also pack 3G connectivity.
