Sharp announced in China two new smartphones running Windows Mobile 6.5, the SH80iUC and SH81iUC. Both phones are of slider style and are almost identical. They support WCDMA/HSDPA 3G and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks and the SH81iUC has dual SIM card slots, one for WCDMA/GSM and the other for GSM only.
The SH80iUC and SH81iUC are powered by Qualcomm MSM7200A 528MHz processor, 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM. They sport a 3.5-inch 854×480 Mobile ASV touchscreen, a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera with face detection, Bluetooth, and microSD card slot. Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional is the OS and Sharp has added its own X-Crawl UI. The SH81iUC also supports GPS.
Sharp’s SH80iUC and SH81iUC are probably for China only. No pricing info has been mentioned.
