Gateway introduces two new ID49 and ID59 notebooks that come with an aqua-blue touchpad that resembles matte glass when not lit, and then glows when touched. The new ID series notebook has a thin and lightweight design.
The ID49 and ID59 are powered by Intel Core i3 and Core i5 processor with up to 8GB of memory and up to 500GB hard drive. The former packs also NVIDIA GeForce GT330M graphics and the NVIDIA Optimus technology that auto switch between integrated Intel HD graphics and the GT330M.
The Gateway ID49 comes with a 14-inch LED-backlit display and the ID59 has a 15.6-inch screen. They also sport a DVD burner, WiFi support, 1.3 Megapixel webcam and multi-in-one card reader. ID49 and ID59 start at $679.99 and $799.99 respectively.
