Acer announced in the US its Aspire X3 and Aspire M3 series desktop PC with space-saving chassis.
The small form factor Aspire X3 is boosted by either AMD Athlon II, AMD Phenom II, Intel Core i3 or Intel Pentium E6600 processors and up to 4GB of RAM. It is equipped with either NVIDIA GeForce 9200 or Intel GMA HD graphics and offers HDMI output. The X3 offers an open PCI Express x16 slot and some models will have a PCI Express x1 slot.
On the other hand, the Aspire M3 is a microtower powered by choice of AMD Athlon II or AMD Phenom II CPU and ATI HD 5450 or NVIDIA GeForce 9200 graphics. It gets up to 640GB hard drive. There is also room for expansion with two available PCI Express x1 slots, an open PCI Express slot and bays for an extra optical drive and hard drive.
Both Aspire X3 and Aspire M3 start at $449.99.
