Sprint has partnered with Samsung to release the Restore m570 eco-friendly messaging phone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The Restore features a QVGA LCD display, a 2 Megpaixel camera with video recording, built-in MP3 player, Bluetooth and support for microSD card up to 32GB.
The Samsung Resotre comes with support for Sprint Family Locator, Sprint Football Live, Sprint Navigation and Sprint TV3 services. It is available in two colors, Midnight and Limeade and is available for $49.99 with a new two-year service agreement, after a $50 mail-in rebate.
As an eco mobile phone, the outer casing of the m570 contain 27% post-consumer recycled plastic and the handset as a whole is 84 percent recyclable while its packaging is 100 percent recyclable, featuring a cardboard box made from 70 percent post consumer materials and printed with soy ink. It meets strict RoHS standards and only has low levels of environmentally sensitive materials (PVC, BFRs, Phthalates, Beryllium).
