Sanyo has just announced the new Xacti DMX-CA100 (aka VPC-CA100), its first waterproof Full HD dual camera that is ideal for any kind of outdoor activities. Like other Xacti Dual Cameras, the CA100 does both photo shooting and video recording.
Sanyo’s DMX-CA100 is equipped wih a 14.4 Megapixel CMOS image sensor for capturing Full HD 1920×1080 video at 60/fps in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format and 14 Megapixel still images. It features a 5x optical zoom lens with Double Range Zoom extending zoom range to 12x, the “High-Speed Sequential Shooting” function for capturing up to 22 photos at 7fps, Digital Image Stabilizer and Face Chaser Function for both videos and photos, and ISO 1600.
This waterproof Full HD camcorder comes with built-in stereo microphone, a 2.7-inch LCD display, AV output, Mini HDMI output, SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot with Eye-Fi capability and USB 2.0 connector. The Sanyo Xacti DMX-CA100 will be released in June in Yellow, Black and Pink colors.
