LaCie unveils its Rugged Safe, a shock-proof rugged external hard drive with 128-bit AES data encryption and biometric authentication technology. Like most LaCie products, the Rugged Safe is designed by Neil Poulton.
Available in 500GB and 1TB capacities, the Rugged Safe includes both USB 2.0, FireWire 800, and FireWire 400 interfaces. It works with both PC and Mac. The price is $189.99 for 500GB and $299.99 for 1TB.
