Buffalo introduces in Japan the DVSM-PSS58U2-BK that is said to be the world’s smallest external DVD burner, which is about the size of a plastic CD box. The new drive can write DVD+/-R at 8X, DVD+RW at 8X, DVD-RW at 6x, dual layer DVD+/-R at 6X and CD-R/RW at 24x.
The Buffalo DVSM-PSS58U2-BK uses USB 2.0 interface and comes with a cable with dual USB connectors to ensure stable power. It also comes with CyberLink’s software suite for disc playback and writing. To be released in early June, the Buffalo DVSM-PSS58U2-BK costs 10,600 Yen.
