Research In Motion (RIM) announced the new BlackBerry Pearl 3G (aka Pearl 2 or Pearl 9100 Series), which is the successor to the Pearl 8100 series. Boosted by 624Mhz processor, the Pearl 3G has 256MB flash memory and runs BlackBerry OS 5.
This new BlackBerry phone has a 360×400 display, a 3.2 Megapixel auto focus with flash and video recording, a optical trackpad, built-in GPS with BlackBerry Maps and a microSD/SDHC card slot. The Pearl 3G supports tri-band UMTS/HSDPA and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks as well as WiFi 802.11b/n/n and Bluetooth connectivity. Support for BlackBerry Media Sync are access to BlackBerry App World are also included.
The BlackBerry Pearl 3G is available in two models, the 9100 model with a 20-key condensed QWERTY keyboard and the 9105 model with a 14-key traditional phone keyboard, both include SureType software.
