Leica officially announced the previously leaked V-Lux 20 compact digital camera, which is just a rebadged Panasonic Lumix ZS7/TZ10. The includes almost all features you found on the ZS7 and gets a more expensive price tag of US$699.
Leica V-Lux 20 features a 12.1 Megapixel sensor, a LEICA DC-VARIO-ELMAR 4.1-49.2mm f/3.3-4.9 ASPH lens with 12x optical zoom (25-300mm). It has built-in GPS for geotagging photos with GPS data. The new camera is capable of 720p HD video recording in M-JPEG HD format, instead of AVCHD format used by ZS7/TZ10. It gets a 3-inch LCD display with 60,000 pixels.
The Leica V-Lux 20 will be released in May 2010.
