To replace the M series, NEC launches the new S Series featuring the 40-inch S401 and 46-inch S461 that are designed for digital signage and entertainment applications in environments like airport, hospitality, boardrooms and public areas.
The S401 and S461 both feature 1920×1080 Full HD resolution, 450cd/m2 brightness, 8ms response time, business-grade panel with advanced cooling design, built-in expansion slot, enhanced video wall capabilities, AmbiBright and carbon footprint meter. They have HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI-D, VGA, BNC (RGBHV), composite, component, S-Video inputs as well as Ethernet, RS-232 in/out, IR and DDC/CI control ports.
The NEC S401 and S461 will be priced at $1,399.99 and $1,799.99, respectively. There are also S401-AVT and S461-AVT models with built-in ATSC/NTCS/Clear QAM tuner that are priced at $1,549.99 and $1,949.99, respectively.
