Canon expands its medical education projector line by introducing the new REALiS SX7 Mark II D. Compare to the original SX7 Mark II, this new D version adds the DICOM Simulation Mode, which simulates the results of devices compliant with the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Part 14 standardized display function for display of grayscale images.
The DICOM mode allows users to calibrate directly on the projector using 21 different levels of gamma adjustments. The REALiS SX7 Mark II D, like the non-D version is based on Canon’s LCOS technology but it gets a higher native resolution at 1400×1050. It sports 4000 lumens brightness, Canon 1.7x Powered Zoom/Focus Lens, support for Adobe RGB and sRGB color spaces, DVI-I input and Quiet Operation as this model produces only 31db.
The Canon REALiS SX7 Mark II D is priced at $7799.
