NEC announced a new eco-friendly, cost-effective desktop LCD monitor, the AccuSync AS231WM. The 23-inch display features 1920×1080 Full HD resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 250cd/m2 brightness, and 5ms response time.
The AS231WM has an integrated, space-saving, down-firing multimedia speakers with headphone jack. It comes with Ambix dual-input technology, which allows for digital/analog compatibility with upgraded video cards and software, as well as connections to two systems. You can also expect tilt adjustability and touch-integration capabilities. There are VGA and DVI-D with HDCP inputs.
The AccuSync AS231WM offers ECO mode and comes with a carbon footprint meter, which allows users to easily track carbon savings. It consumes only 0.4W power in Power Savings Mode and Power Off. This new AccuSync monitor also bears EPEAT Silver ratings as well as ENERGY STAR 5.0 and TCO 5.0 compliance. It will be available in May for $269.
