Motorola announced the H17txt with MotoSpeak, a Bluetooth headset with optimized text-to-speech technology that reads text messages (SMS) into the headset in real time, when paired with the MotoSpeak Android/BlackBerry application.
The Motorola H17txt offers incoming text message sender ID announcement and is able to 150 text acronyms such as lol, btw and l8r. When paired with any Bluetooth-compatible phone, such as DROID by Motorola, H17txt with MotoSpeak also allows for turn-by-turn directions to be heard only by the driver, not everyone else in the car.
The H17txt with MotoSpeak still includes the CrystalTalk noise-canceling technology and supports Bluetooth 2.1. It will be available in the U.S. beginning April 1 at Verizon Wireless.
