Garmin adds to its Forerunner sports watch line the new Forerunner 110 sleek, affordable GPS watch for runners, joggers and walkers. Powered by SiRFstarIV GPS receiver with Garmin’s HotFix technology, this new watch can quickly acquire and sustain satellite reception.
Other than showing time and distance, the Forerunner 110 can also display pace in one of two ways, averaged out either over the current lap/mile (if auto-lap is enabled) or over the duration of the run. Those who wear a Garmin heart rate monitor can even monitor how hard they’re working while they exercise using the watch.
The Garmin Forerunner 110 is water-resistant and comes in three stylish color combinations – black/gray, charcoal/red and gray/pink. The internal battery offers 8 hours use in GPS/training mode and up to three weeks in power-save mode. It support USB connection for uploading workout data. It is priced at $250.
