Vincent Audio announced the new C-60 high-end CD player with switchable vacuum tube and solid-state output stages. It features also top-loading transport, mechanical and electrical isolation, and fully balanced XLR outputs for an optimal preamp interface.
The C-60 uses Philips’ optical unit, a 24-bit/192-kHz PCN1792 DAC with 8x oversampling, a 6Z4 vacuum tube rectifier, German-made Wima coupling capacitors. Users can switch between solid-state line output stage and the cathode follower 6922EH vacuum tube line output. Vincent’s C-60 is priced at $4695.
