Thecus announced the N4200 network attached storage solution (NAS) that includes the so-called 6D Technology. In fact, the 6D is not really a new technology, but six technologies with names started with leter D used in the N4200.
The first D is the Dual Core Intel Atom D510 processor running at 1.66GHz. The N4200 features the Dual Disk On Module (DOM) technology and support for Dual RAID, allowing you to configure two RAID modes simultaneously. This new NAS has four drive bays for 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch (Dual profile support) SATA hard drives offering up to 8TB capacity.
Thecus’ new NAS has Dual display, a LCD for system information and a 2.8-inch OLED display for settings. There is also Dual Power as the device comes equipped with its own Battery Backup Module (BBM) – a lithium-ion battery pack.
