Lenovo announced the successor to its X200, the new Thinkpad X201 series, including the X201, X201s and the X201t tablet PC. According to Lenovo, the new X201 is the fastest ultraportable laptop.
The standard ThinkPad X201 is boosted by Core i5 or Core i7 processor and the X201 is slimmer and lighter and gets Core i7 CPU. Both of them have a 12.1-inch LCD display. The X201t tablet, though a bit thicker, comes with a 12.1 inch capacitive multitouch screen with a touch-based hardware interface and Lenovo SimpleTap navigation application as well as option for pen input.
The ThinkPad X201 series supports Bluetooth and WiFi and comes with 3G and WiMax options. It offers over 11 hours of battery hour. The X201, X201s and X201t start at $1,199, $1,599, $1,549 respectively.
