Canon introduces the second generation EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens. Canon has redesigned the internal elements of the lens and adds a fluorite element and a fifth UD element for improved optical performance.
Built for the professional, the body structure of the new EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens has been enhanced to provide better durability and strength without a significant increase in weight. Thanks to these enhancements and a new focusing algorithm, the new lens has a faster AF speed and reduced minimum focusing distance of 3.9 feet,
The Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens will come with a detachable tripod collar, a reversible bayonet mount lens hood and a lens pouch. It will be available in April.
