Pharos introduces the model 565 (PTL565E), a ruggedized PDA running Windows Mobile 6.5. The device is compliant with the International Protection Rating (IP54) standard and can resist a drop in a range of 4-5 feet.
Powered by a Marvell PXA310 624MHz processor, the Pharos 565 has 512MB ROM and 256MB RAM. It has a 3.5-inch touchscreen display and a full QWERTY keyboard for easy text input. You can expect built-in GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity and support for IrDA. There are microSD slot, USB port, built-in speaker and microphone and a serial RS-232 port.
The Pharos 565 is priced at $529.95.
