In addition to A3100 IS and A3000 IS, Canon presents the PowerShot A495 and A490, two more entry-level digital cameras for budget-conscious consumers. Both models have 10 Megapixel image sensor, a 3.3x optical zoom lens and a 2.5-inch LCD screen.

Canon’s A495 and A490 feature ISO up to 1600, Face Detection, Smart FE (Flash Exposure), Low-Light, Super Vivid and Poster Effect modes. The A495 offers 9 point AiAF and Smart Auto mode that automatically detects up to 18 different shooting scenes while the A490 sports 5 point AiAF and is able to detect up to 13 scenes.
The Canon PowerShot A495 comes in two-tone colors, such as red, blue and silver while the PowerShot A490 in a metallic two-toned silver and black. They are priced at $129.99 and $109.99, respectively.
