A company called AnyDATA is launching two new Windows Mobile smartphones, the ASP-318 with quad-band GSM/EDGE support and the ASP-518 with support for 3G EVDO and GSM/CDMA dual mode. Both run the Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional OS.
The AnyDATA ASP-318 is boosted by a ARM 416Mhz processor, 1GB of RAM and 2GB ROM. It has 3.2-inch 320×400 LCD touchscreen, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with auto focus, integrated GPS/A-GPS support, Bluetooth and WiFi.
On the other hand, the ASP-518, to be marketed under Philips brand, sports MSM7627 600MHz processor, 2GB RAM and 2GB ROM. It supports dual mode GSM900/1800MHz and CDMA 1800MHz as well as EVDO Rev.A 3G networks. The phone features a 3.2-inch 480×800 touchscreen, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera and a 0.3 Megapixel front camera. It has dual SIM card slots and supports dual standby.
Both ASP-318 and ASP-518 will be released in Q2. They have microSD slot for expansion. To be released in Q3 is the AnyDATA ASP-705W WM6.5 phone with 2.8-inch touchscreen and a 2 Megapixel camera.
