NEC announced the new 70-inch MultiSync P701 LCD display for digital signage, joining the P401 and P461. The commercial-grade P701 is designed for the rigors of 24/7 applications such as airports, public information, healthcare..etc.
NEC P701 features 1920x1080p Full HD resolution, 2000:1 contrast ratio, 420cd/m2 typical brightness and 600cd/m2 maximum brightness. It includes the AmbiBright color enhancement technology, enhanced video wall capabilities and built-in expansion slot.
The P701 has a premium-grade panel with additional thermal protection, internal temperature sensors for the most demanding digital signage industry requirements and a sealed panel design, which provides protection against dust, grease and steam in less than optimal environments.
NEC P701 will be available in March 2010 for $11,799. There is also the P701-AVT model with built-in tuner.
